Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient telemetry nursing care, including management of ED boarders awaiting inpatient bed placement
• Perform pre-cardiac catheterization care and manage ports as part of routine patient care duties
• Float between campuses and to Observation, Medical/Surgical, and MS Telemetry units as needed
• Document and chart all patient care activities using Epic (experience required)
• Adhere to weekend scheduling expectations: expected 4 weekend shifts (2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays) per 6-week period, along with 3 Mondays and 3 Fridays
• Comply with all facility dress code, infection control, and compliance policies, including holiday coverage expectations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1.5 years of Telemetry RN experience; experience with pre-cardiac cath and port management required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Active Kentucky RN license or compact license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Proficiency in Epic EMR required
• No RTO available from 12/15/2026 through 1/5/2027; any RTO requests must be submitted at time of initial submission
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are accepted at a local rate
• Must have been away from full-time, part-time, or per diem employment at this facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
• Must not be in process for, or have applied to, a permanent role with this facility system within the past 6 months

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in or floating to Observation and Medical/Surgical units
• Familiarity with managing ED boarder patients requiring inpatient-level care
• Ability to adapt to multi-campus float assignments
