Travel Registered Nurse – Clinical Decision Unit (CDU)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 12-bed Clinical Decision Unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Collaborate with a care team that includes PCT support (1 PCT to 12 patients) to deliver safe, efficient observation-level care
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Monitor and evaluate patients in an observation/CDU setting, escalating care as clinically indicated
- Adhere to facility dress code requirements, including royal blue scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (Georgia license or compact eligibility required)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Prior experience in a CDU, observation, or similar acute care setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with Meditech or comparable electronic health record systems
- Experience working in a high-volume hospital environment
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in an observation or step-down setting
