Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms, limited studies, contrast studies, and bubble studies according to departmental protocols and professional standards.
- Produce accurate cardiac measurements and diagnostic-quality images for interpretation by cardiologists, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the examination process.
- Utilize clinical judgment to evaluate patient history, optimize imaging, recognize significant abnormalities, and communicate urgent findings when appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient patient care across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and surgical settings.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography, Echocardiography, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI required.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Minimum one year of echocardiography experience required.
- Prior travel assignment experience required.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, pathology, Doppler principles, and echocardiographic imaging techniques.

- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Strong organizational and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships with physicians and care teams.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to quality and patient safety.
