Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns in a Mom/Baby unit
• Monitor maternal and neonatal recovery following delivery, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
• Educate new mothers on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in the medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (Texas licensure or compact eligibility required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Mother Baby / Postpartum nursing
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Mother Baby or Postpartum setting
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems
• Experience with both vaginal delivery and post-cesarean section patient care
