Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor critical patients, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Float within scope to like units as needed, consistent with expectations for staff nurses
• Participate in holiday rotation and every other weekend scheduling
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license — must be in hand prior to start date
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU and/or Stepdown experience required
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible — locals are not accepted
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; time off requests submitted after will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience, though first-time travelers with ICU and/or Stepdown background are welcome to apply
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
