Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on an orthopedic surgery unit in a high-volume acute care hospital setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for orthopedic surgical patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure positive outcomes
- Monitor and document patient progress, responses to treatment, and changes in condition
- Adhere to facility protocols, safety standards, and nursing excellence guidelines throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in North Carolina or a Compact state license
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with orthopedic or surgical nursing background
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care or orthopedic setting
- Familiarity with post-operative orthopedic surgical care and protocols
- Experience working in a large, high-acuity hospital environment
