Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts Preferred (3x12 Also Considered) | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Every Other Weekend | Holiday Rotation | Call Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / General Surgery unit with a patient ratio of 1:6 (occasionally 1:7)
• Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling, holiday rotation, and on-call/call rotation as required
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs as directed
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Be prepared to participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license required (candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application)
• BLS certification required
• Candidates who are available to work holidays will be prioritized
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; time-off requests after submission will not be accepted
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience preferred; first-time travelers considered but not preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or General Surgery setting
