Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed cardiac medical-surgical unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Perform and document telemetry application, acknowledge rhythm strips, and place in chart each shift
• Manage advanced drip medications including Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone
• Perform and assist with unit procedures including chest tube management, wound vac management, and ad lib EKGs
• Conduct bedside and hourly rounding using the 5P framework; adhere to NO PASS ZONE policy for bed alarms, call lights, and IV alarms
• Document using Meditech-HCA; administer medications via WOW carts and PyxisES dispensing system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIH certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Knowledge of cardiac drip medications (Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Amiodarone)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac nursing knowledge and telemetry experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech-HCA documentation system
• Experience floating to general M/S, Ortho, PCU, or M/S surgical with oncology units
• Experience with GE Telemetry systems and Rover devices
