Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Cardiac Med-Surg) | Night Shift

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week with 3–4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period | Expected 48 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Cardiac Med-Surg unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Monitor and manage cardiac drips including titrated infusions (Cardizem, Heparin) and non-titratable infusions (Dopamine, Dobutamine, Amiodarone)
• Perform and interpret telemetry monitoring and EKG rhythm identification using GE telemetry and Airstrip systems
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including a free charge nurse, unit secretary (day shift), and 3 PCTs per shift
• Participate in unit float rotation with other travel nurses as needed per floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Telemetry certification and EKG/cardiac rhythm identification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience
• Familiarity with cardiac medications and drip management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
• Experience in a cardiac or telemetry-monitored unit setting
• Comfort with self-scheduling environments and travel assignment workflows
