Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments, incorporating culture, age, developmental level, and risk factors into individualized care planning
• Implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice, and recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including execution of discharge orders and coordination with Case Management
• Provide patient and family-centered education, explaining procedures, treatments, and processes in a clear and compassionate manner
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of care provided by other team members
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and documentation auditing

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
• Ability to perform age-specific patient safety assessments and implement appropriate safety measures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across care teams
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on relevant computer systems and clinical applications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous nursing experience in an emergency or acute care setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
