Job Title

• Surgical Tech – CVOR (Certified Surgical Technologist – Cardiovascular Operating Room)

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, temporary travel assignment, days (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiovascular surgeries by preparing operating rooms and managing sterile supplies.
• Perform large-bore IV starts, skin assessments, and assist with arterial line, central line, and epidural placements.
• Transport patients to the OR, aid with induction, intubation, patient positioning, and skin prep.
• Support the surgical team during procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Document procedures accurately in the client’s system and adhere to hospital policies and protocols.
• Collaborate with the medical team to ensure efficient and safe operative environments.

Required Qualifications

• Must have current CVOR experience and at least 2 travel assignments in CVOR (no exceptions).
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience with GE Carescape monitoring systems.
• Familiarity with advanced surgical procedures and equipment.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to adapt quickly to new technology.
• Experience with large-bore IV insertions, arterial and central line placements.
