• Shift: Mids (2:45 PM – 3:15 AM)
• Duration: 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to a diverse patient population in a high-volume trauma and stroke center.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver patient-centered care.
• Perform trauma and critical procedures in a fast-paced environment.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using the Cerner system.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and documentation policies.
• Demonstrate exceptional patient communication skills with respectful and empathetic interactions.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a registered nurse, with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications before hire.
• Ability to perform procedures typical for a Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke center.
• Experience working in a high-volume ED (>100,000 visits/year).
• Strong teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give real-time feedback.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous HCA experience preferred.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary, multicultural environment.
• Knowledge of GE monitors, Baxter pumps, and Cerner documentation system.
• Flexibility to float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed.
