Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with approximately 101 beds.
- Monitor and assess patient condition, triage effectively, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
- Administer medications and treatments following hospital protocols and patient needs.
- Document patient information accurately using the Cerner system, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a welcoming, culturally sensitive environment and ensure positive patient experiences.
- Respond to emergency situations swiftly, utilizing advanced nursing skills and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or eligible for license transfer.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an RN, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting.
- BLS and ACLS certification prior to start date.
- Current PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications or willingness to obtain within specified timeframes.
- Experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center preferred.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to coach and give real-time feedback.
- Flexibility to work across all areas of the ED and participate in varied shift schedules.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in high-volume (>100,000 visits annually) emergency departments.
- Experience working in a hospital with HCA systems highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to fast-paced, multicultural environments with over 120 languages spoken locally.
