Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with approximately 101 beds.
• Monitor and assess patient condition, triage effectively, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications and treatments following hospital protocols and patient needs.
• Document patient information accurately using the Cerner system, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a welcoming, culturally sensitive environment and ensure positive patient experiences.
• Respond to emergency situations swiftly, utilizing advanced nursing skills and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or eligible for license transfer.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an RN, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting.
• BLS and ACLS certification prior to start date.
• Current PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications or willingness to obtain within specified timeframes.
• Experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center preferred.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to coach and give real-time feedback.
• Flexibility to work across all areas of the ED and participate in varied shift schedules.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in high-volume (>100,000 visits annually) emergency departments.
• Experience working in a hospital with HCA systems highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to fast-paced, multicultural environments with over 120 languages spoken locally.
