Key Responsibilities

• Provide circulating nursing care in the operating room for a variety of surgical procedures
• Assist with preoperative patient preparation and post-operative recovery
• Collaborate with surgical team members including surgeons, scrub techs, and anesthesiologists
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, policies, and procedures specific to the OR environment
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical records system (Meditech ORM)
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment, supporting patient safety and efficient surgical operations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years circulating experience in an acute care hospital operating room
• Proven experience with cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries
• Current BLS certification
• Must have a valid RN license for Texas or current state licensure
• Flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-changing environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neuro spine surgical experience
• CNOR certification
• Over 5 years of OR nursing experience
• Experience with robotic surgery and complex procedures such as colorectal, urology, and orthopedic surgeries

• Shift starts at 6:30 AM with a huddle at 6:45 AM
• Extensive on-call and weekend coverage required as part of the rotation
• Scrubs provided by the hospital; artificial nails are not permitted
