Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and neonates in a Level Designated Maternal and Neonatal Care unit.
• Conduct patient assessments, monitor fetal well-being, and interpret external fetal monitoring (EFM).
• Support delivery processes and post-partum care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a rural hospital setting to deliver quality maternal and neonatal services.
• Document patient care accurately using the OBIX electronic medical records system.
• Assist in nursery roles as needed, contributing to the overall unit operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in Texas or recognized with the ability to practice.
• Experience in labor and delivery, preferably in a rural healthcare setting.
• Strong assessment skills with proficiency in fetal monitoring interpretation.
• Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with OBIX EMR system preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in maternal and neonatal intensive care.
• Knowledge of rural healthcare challenges and resourcefulness in patient care.
• Ability to adapt to a transient patient population and unique hospital environment.
• Previous experience with Level designated units.
