Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and neonates in a Level Designated Maternal and Neonatal Care unit.
- Conduct patient assessments, monitor fetal well-being, and interpret external fetal monitoring (EFM).
- Support delivery processes and post-partum care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a rural hospital setting to deliver quality maternal and neonatal services.
- Document patient care accurately using the OBIX electronic medical records system.
- Assist in nursery roles as needed, contributing to the overall unit operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in Texas or recognized with the ability to practice.
- Experience in labor and delivery, preferably in a rural healthcare setting.
- Strong assessment skills with proficiency in fetal monitoring interpretation.
- Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with OBIX EMR system preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Experience in maternal and neonatal intensive care.
- Knowledge of rural healthcare challenges and resourcefulness in patient care.
- Ability to adapt to a transient patient population and unique hospital environment.
- Previous experience with Level designated units.
