Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, including preparing rooms and equipment.
- Monitor patient conditions and provide routine and emergency care during procedures.
- Instruct patients on procedures and ensure their safety and comfort.
- Contribute to team training and orientation of new staff members.
- Support quality control initiatives through auditing, reporting, and maintaining compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or minimum of 2 years of work experience above minimum qualifications.
- Active certification: ACLS and BLS within 30 days of hire/transfer.
- Credential: Must hold one of the following—ARRT-R Radiography, Cert Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS), Cert EP Specialist (CEPS), Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT), Registered Cardio Electrophysiology (RCES), or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
- Must have a minimum of one relevant credential and meet licensure requirements for the state of Texas.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience supporting coronary, vascular, and electrophysiology procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, device placements, and ablations.
- Knowledge of interventional vascular procedures like peripheral angiograms, thrombectomy, EVAR, and Limflow revascularization.
- Ability to work approximately 8-9 days per month of STEMI on-call, including one weekend and holiday rotations.
