Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room.
• Assist surgeons and surgical team members by preparing the operating room and handling surgical equipment.
• Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels during procedures, ensuring patient safety at all times.
• Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to infection control standards throughout all surgical activities.
• Document patient care, surgical procedures, and any intraoperative changes accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a smooth surgical workflow.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent perioperative nursing experience in a surgical or operating room setting.
• Strong knowledge of surgical practices, anatomy, and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in service lines including general, neuro, ortho, robotics, GYN, plastics, urology, burn, or trauma.
• Familiarity with Cerner documentation system.
• Demonstrated ability to work flexible schedules and handle call responsibilities.

Note: This position is a 13-week travel assignment starting October 27, 2025, with a schedule from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
