Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgery patients in a CVOR setting.
• Assist with complex procedures such as CABG, valve repairs/replacements, AAA repairs, AV fistula creation/revision, TAVR, TMVR, and MitraClip.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during operative procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records (Meditech).
• Adhere to unit policies and guidelines, including dress code and safety protocols.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including weeknight and weekend shifts, as scheduled.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Texas or appropriate state.
• Minimum of 1 year of CVOR nursing experience.
• Proven proficiency in cardiovascular surgical procedures and perioperative nursing.
• Ability to work independently and within a team under high-pressure situations.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Availability to start ASAP.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with intraoperative monitoring and use of surgical equipment such as Bovie cautery, EVH video towers, laparoscopic systems, and patient warming/cooling devices.
• Knowledge of Meditech EMR system.
• Flexibility with schedule and a mature, team-oriented attitude.
