Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, travel assignment
- Night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM)
- 13-week contract with possibility of extension
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level 3 or 4 NICU setting, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided accurately
- Assess and address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers to promote patient understanding and safety
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive neonatal care
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in Texas or a compact state
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- STABLE certification from a recognized course (Participant, Lead Instructor, or Support Instructor)
- NRP certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of 1 year of NICU or perinatal nursing experience preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in Level 3 or Level 4 NICU settings
- Participation in a Perinatal RN residency program or recent practice in a perinatal/neonatal environment
