Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, travel assignment
• Night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM)
• 13-week contract with possibility of extension

Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level 3 or 4 NICU setting, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided accurately
• Assess and address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers to promote patient understanding and safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive neonatal care

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in Texas or a compact state
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• STABLE certification from a recognized course (Participant, Lead Instructor, or Support Instructor)
• NRP certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of 1 year of NICU or perinatal nursing experience preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in Level 3 or Level 4 NICU settings
• Participation in a Perinatal RN residency program or recent practice in a perinatal/neonatal environment
