School Psychologist (SY25-26) Central Massachusetts

Schedule / Job Type:

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to understand children’s cognitive, social/emotional, and environmental factors affecting learning.
• Develop individualized recommendations based on evaluations, involving collaboration with parents, teachers, and administrators.
• Provide counseling services, both group and individual, addressing issues such as behavioral challenges, social skills, and adjustment concerns.
• Manage programs efficiently, including documentation, reporting, and follow-up interventions.
• Serve as a resource for families and staff regarding psychological and behavioral issues.
• Support crisis situations by providing immediate assistance and coping strategies for students and staff during emergencies or traumatic events.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree or higher in Psychology or a related field.
• Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) School Psychologist Certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working in a school setting with diverse student populations.
• Familiarity with IEP processes, 504 plans, and behavioral intervention strategies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and community agencies.
• Skills in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
