Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care during assigned shifts in the Emergency Room.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs, documenting actions and responses.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following protocols.
• Supervise and support LPNs and non-licensed personnel.
• Complete patient education and competency testing according to unit standards.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and standards of care.
• Successfully pass the required Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test prior to start; re-test if necessary.

Required Qualifications

• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications (must be through AHA, American Health and Safety, or Red Cross).
• Minimum of 2 years current ED experience in a busy department.
• Must have completed at least one 13-week travel nursing assignment.
• Ability to work night shifts and float between departments and local locations within 20 miles.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic or similar Electronic Medical Record system (training available on-site).
• Flexible, team-oriented, and accustomed to fast-paced environments.
