Key Responsibilities

• Float between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles as needed.
• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process for assigned patients during night shifts.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following protocols and documenting accurately.
• Identify and address patient and family education and discharge needs throughout the care episode.
• Supervise and support LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel to ensure quality care.
• Successfully pass the onsite Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test prior to start; re-test opportunities are provided if needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in an 18-plus bed telemetry or progressive care unit.
• Valid nursing license in New Mexico or a Compact State.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, team-player attitude, and flexibility.
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Epic EMR experience.
• NIHSS certification.
