• Full-time, contract, 13-week assignment, Days shift, 5 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Operating Room for surgical procedures including CT, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and general surgery.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative needs.
• Document patient care activities accurately using hospital systems.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols, including float policies and dress code standards.
• Assist with the setup and management of surgical equipment such as balloon pumps and the Mako robotic system.

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in OR nursing, including CT Surgery, spine, orthopedics, or trauma.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with balloon pumps, total joint surgery, and robotic surgical systems (preferred).
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CNOR certification preferred.
• Experience with Mako robotic-assisted surgeries.
• Scrub experience in the OR.
• Knowledge of advanced imaging and specific surgical equipment.
