- Full-time, contract, 13-week assignment, Days shift, 5 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Operating Room for surgical procedures including CT, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and general surgery.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative needs.
- Document patient care activities accurately using hospital systems.
- Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols, including float policies and dress code standards.
- Assist with the setup and management of surgical equipment such as balloon pumps and the Mako robotic system.
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (no temporary licenses accepted).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in OR nursing, including CT Surgery, spine, orthopedics, or trauma.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience with balloon pumps, total joint surgery, and robotic surgical systems (preferred).
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CNOR certification preferred.
- Experience with Mako robotic-assisted surgeries.
- Scrub experience in the OR.
- Knowledge of advanced imaging and specific surgical equipment.
