Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 13-week assignment, full-time, on-site, shifts from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care in a high-volume ER setting
• Coordinate patient assessments, treatments, and documentation using Cerner system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver efficient patient flow and quality care
• Maintain patient safety and comfort through adherence to clinical guidelines and best practices
• Support department operations by floating within ED sections and assisting where needed
• Ensure compliance with unit policies, safety protocols, and certification requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or appropriate state licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC (within 90 days of hire)
• Experience working in a Level 2 trauma center or high-volume ED (>100,000 visits) preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work across all sections within the ED and adapt to department needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a comprehensive stroke center or trauma hospital
• Experience with HCA facilities or similar institutional workflows
• Bilingual abilities or experience serving a multicultural community
