• Nights, 13-week travel assignment, 3 shifts per week, scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
• Manage complex cases including patients with congenital heart disease, post-operative cardiac patients, and neonatal cardiac care.
• Perform procedures such as central and arterial line placements, intubation, and post-operative recovery.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure continuous patient care and safety.
• Administer medications, monitor patient vitals, and utilize advanced equipment including IV pumps, ventilators, and monitoring devices.
• Follow hospital policies and safety protocols, including required certifications and dress code.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Pediatric CICU or CVICU experience as a staff nurse.
• At least 3-4 contracts in a dedicated pediatric CICU.
• 2 years minimum PICU experience as a staff nurse.
• Experience caring for patients with congenital heart disease and post-operative management.
• Proficiency with arterial lines, central lines, and transthoracic lines.
• Valid PALS, BLS, and ACLS certifications.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2+ years of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience.
• At least 1 year of neonatal cardiac patient care (pre-op and post-op).
• 2+ years in pediatric cardiac step-down or cardiology units.
