Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 13-week assignment, nights shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Monitor and assess neonatal patient conditions, including level 2 newborns requiring phototherapy and blood sugar management
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech and CPN)
• Maintain a warm, compassionate, and professional demeanor, ensuring a positive environment for patients and families

Required Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Stable nursing license in the state of Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a NICU or Neonatal nursery setting
• Mother-baby or neonatal-specific care experience
• Ability to handle multiple neonatal procedures and emergencies efficiently
