Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to nephrology patients, including ESRD, AKI, dialysis, transplant, and related conditions.
- Assist with patient assessments, medication administration, and post-operative or rejection care for transplant patients.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor and respond to patient needs, including vital signs, assessments, and interventions as needed.
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently in compliance with hospital policies.
- Support the multidisciplinary team during patient rounds and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and active Illinois RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of general medical nursing experience.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Nephrology or urology background preferred.
- Experience with dialysis, transplant care, or complex medical conditions.
- Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and dependability.
