Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location:
Corpus Christi, TX

Schedule / Job Type:
Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to telemetry patients in a busy cardiac unit.
• Monitor patient cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes.
• Manage chest tubes, non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips, and weight-based heparin drips.
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EHR system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital policies, dress code, and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or eligible for licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience.
• Current ACLS certification preferred.
• Meditech experience and telemetry experience are highly preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience managing chest tubes and IV drips in a telemetry setting.
• Familiarity with hospital equipment such as Baxter IV pumps, KCI wound vacs, and SCD pumps.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
