Travel, 13-week assignment, day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical/Surgical telemetry unit with a focus on assessment, critical thinking, and medication administration.
• Perform procedures such as IV starts, Foley insertions, NG tube insertions, staple removal, and continuous bladder irrigation.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, wound care, dressing changes, and pre/post-operative care.
• Utilize electronic health records (EHR) and telemetry monitors to ensure accurate patient data collection and reporting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during rounds and huddles to coordinate patient care.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and dress code standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience with patient assessment, critical thinking, medication administration, and wound care.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and telemetry monitoring.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Medical/Surgical experience.
• IMU (Intermediate Medical Unit) experience.
