• 3 shifts per week
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: November 5, 2025

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized neonatal intensive care for premature and critically ill infants in a Level III NICU setting.
• Manage and monitor patients requiring respiratory support, including ventilators and CPAP.
• Perform procedures such as central line insertions, circumcisions, and gastroschisis reductions.
• Administer medications and treatments aligned with unit protocols, including care for infants with trachs and Broviacs.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records systems (CPN, Meditech).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and externs to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas or applicable state.
• BLS certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Level III NICU.
• Experience caring for preemies (28 weeks and above), managing central lines, and respiratory support, including intubated infants.
• Familiarity with neonatal equipment such as ventilators, IV pumps, and isolettes.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with surgical neonatal patients, cardiac infants, and care of infants < 27 weeks.
• Skilled in procedures such as PDA ligation and other neonatal surgeries.
• Strong knowledge of respiratory management and advanced neonatal care techniques.
