Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care for Medical Surgical unit, including telemetry monitoring and post-surgical assessments
- Administer medications and IV fluids, perform procedures such as IV starts and cardiac recognition
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Utilize EMR system (Alterra/Allscripts) for documentation
- Float to inpatient rehab, ED, and PCU as needed, within scope of practice
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, NIHS
- At least 1 year of Med Surg and telemetry experience
- Ability to handle cardiac recognition and IV starts
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with high-acuity patients, post-surgical care (orthopedics, abdominal surgery, heart caths)
- Strong time management and teamwork skills
