Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location: Peoria, IL
Schedule / Job Type: 3 night shifts per week, approximately 12 hours per shift, temporary assignment
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for adult cardiac patients in a 70-bed cardiovascular unit.
• Interpret EKG strips and titrate medications such as Cardizem and Heparin as needed.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to coordinate patient care.
• Assist with troubleshooting and managing respiratory equipment including Cpap, Bipap, and high-flow devices.
• Read and interpret telemetry monitors (Phillips) accurately and timely.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois RN license or confirmation of application submission.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience or proficiency in EKG interpretation and medication titration.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Experience with ventilator and respiratory equipment is preferred.
• Must have recent RN experience in a cardiac or telemetry setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• ACLS certification recommended.
• Prior experience working in a critical care or telemetry unit.
• Familiarity with various ventilator types (Cpap, Bipap, high flow).
