Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent nursing care in a telemetry/med-surg setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families, providing appropriate education and support.
• Demonstrate leadership in self-management and collaborative care, adhering to ANA standards of practice.
• Continually develop clinical skills and manage contingencies in patient care, making appropriate assignments and delegating tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN License in Texas or a compact state.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Experience of at least 1 year in a related nursing specialty preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in telemetry or med-surg units.
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Ability to work independently and handle complex patient needs.
