Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Torrance, CA
Schedule / Job Type: Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), nights
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care and support to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit with a focus on maternal and infant health.
- Support precepting and mentoring new staff or students as needed.
- Support the PM shift and work flexible weekends, including holidays, as required.
- Float between the hospital and nearby affiliate facilities as needed.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain documentation using Epic charting system.
- Respond to call requirements and handle on-call duties if applicable.
Required Qualifications:
- CA RN license valid and current in hand.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Labor and Delivery or Maternity Care.
- Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, NRP.
- Ability to support flexible working weekends and holidays.
- Strong caregiver skills with a supportive and flexible attitude.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Precepting experience.
- Experience working night shifts in a busy hospital setting.
- Comfortability floating between units/hospitals as needed.
