Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Night Shift / 3 shifts per week / 12-hour shifts
Full-time, travel assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide acute care to patients in the Emergency Room setting, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Monitor and manage patients with telemetry and dysrhythmias
• Administer IV medications such as insulin and heparin following protocols
• Collaborate with rapid response teams and manage non-invasive airway devices (CPAP/BIPAP, Oxygen)
• Manage wound care, including wound vacs, and perform tracheostomy care
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC and ensure compliance with all clinical protocols

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of ER or similar acute care experience
• Valid Ohio or compact state RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
• Experience in telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and vasoactive drug titration
• Knowledge of renal failure management and blood product administration

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Familiarity with renal protocols and complex medication management
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment

Additional Details:

• Location: Columbus, Ohio
• Schedule: Night shifts (3x12 hours)
• Travel Compliance: Strict fingerprinting process required immediately upon booking; candidates outside Ohio must drive to fingerprint location, or will receive a mailed packet for urgent completion
• RTO: RTO required with submission and built into contract
• References: Two professional references required; at least one from a manager or supervisor
• Note: All candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly to avoid delays or cancellations.
