Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and perform necessary procedures such as lumbar punctures and chest tube management.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive and team-oriented environment.
- Follow unit policies and guidelines, including weekend shifts and on-call requirements as scheduled.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system (Meditech).
Required Qualifications
- Valid BLS certification
- Valid PALS certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a registered nurse in a PICU setting
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, with flexibility for weekend coverage
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- Experience with neuro, ortho, gen surgery, and thoracic procedures such as thoracotomy and thoracoscopy
