Key Responsibilities

• Assist obstetrical staff in providing basic patient care and support during operative procedures in Labor and Delivery.
• Prepare and operate surgical equipment, ensuring proper sterilization and supply handling.
• Monitor patient safety, assist with personal care tasks, and maintain accurate medical records.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations and ensure adherence to safety and aseptic protocols.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate needs and support optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• Surgical Tech experience required; C-section experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.
• Knowledge of sterilization methods and surgical procedures.
• Physical ability to perform prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and transferring patients as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Nursing Assistant experience or completion of a Nursing Assistant course within one year.
• Two+ years of hospital experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
