• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location
• Torrance, CA
Schedule / Job Type
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week, acute care hospital
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery patients, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor fetal and maternal health, recognizing and responding to emergencies promptly.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records (Epic).
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols, including certifications and compliance requirements.
• Float between designated hospital units and affiliate facilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
• Valid California RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of labor and delivery experience.
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, FHM, NRP.
• Successful completion of background check and compliance requirements prior to assignment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with precepting and mentoring new staff.
• Comfortable working weekends and flexible schedules.
• Strong caregiver skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
