Schedule / Job Type
• Contract – 13 weeks – Days shifts – 4 ten-hour shifts per week – 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in surgical procedures within the cardiovascular OR, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, including laparoscopic and EVH video towers
• Support the surgical team during procedures such as CABG, valve repairs, AAA repairs, AV fistula surgeries, and TAVR procedures
• Provide on-call support as scheduled, including one weeknight and one weekend per month
• Follow unit policies and maintain compliance with hospital standards and protocols
Required Qualifications
• Cardiovascular Operating Room Surgical Technologist (CVOR CST) experience
• Ability to work on call during weeknights and weekends
• Experience with surgical instruments, cautery devices, and advanced surgical equipment
• Punctual, team-oriented, and flexible with schedule
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience performing cardiovascular surgeries such as CABG and valve repairs
• Knowledge of electronic medical records system (Meditech preferred)
• Ability to adapt and support a high-volume surgical environment
