Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Corpus Christi, TX

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, nights, travel assignment (13 weeks)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical unit patients during night shifts.
• Assist with standard nursing procedures including IV insertions, urinary catheter maintenance, medication administration, bladder irrigation, NGT insertion/maintenance, and central line upkeep.
• Monitor and care for patients with diverse needs, including neuro patients such as CVA, TIA, or AMS.
• Document patient information accurately into the electronic health record system.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute medical-surgical experience.
• Ability to care for 4-6 patients per shift.
• Certifications in nursing practice as required (e.g., BLS, ACLS if applicable).
• Friendly, positive, and team-focused personality.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Over 2 years of experience in neuro patient care, including CVA, TIA, or AMS cases.
• Experience working in a fast-paced hospital environment with standard equipment.
