Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care to high-acuity patients in the IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, IVs, and vital signs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy and blood products, following protocols
- Manage invasive procedures such as IV starts, port accesses, and chest tubes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient assessments and care planning
- Adhere to infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
Required Qualifications
- Valid state or compact RN license in Ohio or the ability to obtain one prior to start
- Minimum of 2 years of recent high-acuity nursing experience, preferably in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
- Experience with telemetry interpretation and invasive line management
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Chemotherapy administration and monitoring
- Management of complex cardiac drips and insulin protocols
- Experience with external airway devices like CPAP/BIPAP and HFNC
- Previous travel or similar flexible staffing experience
