Key Responsibilities

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms using GE Senographe Pristina equipment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in advanced mammography imaging including magnification, spot compression, stereotactic biopsies, pre-surgical localizations, and contrast-enhanced mammography.
  • Ensure compliance with all certification and documentation standards, including MQSA requirements.
  • Maintain patient comfort and safety, particularly with women having a history of cancer treatments.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to accurately demonstrate complex cases and ensure quality imaging outcomes.
  • Float to other breast imaging centers if needed, supporting departmental coverage.

Required Qualifications

  • ARRT (R) and (M) Mammography certification.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in mammography, including screening and diagnostic procedures.
  • Competent in additional views such as magnification and spot compression.
  • Experience performing stereotactic biopsies, localizations, and contrast-enhanced mammography.
  • Minimum 40 hours of initial mammography training plus ongoing continuing education in mammography and digital tomosynthesis (8 hours each).
  • IV certification and competence in invasive and sterile procedures.
  • Ability to work with women who have complex medical histories, demonstrating sensitivity and professionalism.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience working in women’s imaging centers.
  • Familiarity with ultrasound or other advanced breast imaging modalities.
  • Comfortable demonstrating and explaining complex mammography cases to radiologists.

Additional Details

  • Duration: 13 weeks, starting around 12/15/2025.
  • Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 4 shifts per week, 9.5 hours each.
  • Shift Type: Days.
  • Compensation: $80/hour on a travel basis.
  • Supportive and friendly department with experienced staff using advanced imaging tools.
