Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts (4x12 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for orthopedic patients in a 38-bed unit.
• Float within med-surg departments as needed to meet facility demands.
• Administer IV therapies, including PICC line management and starting IVs.
• Utilize Cerner charting system effectively to document patient care.
• Adhere to sterilization and infection control protocols, including BLS certification.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Illinois registered nurse license (active at time of application).
• Minimum of 2 years acute care experience, preferably with telemetry.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Willingness to work every third weekend and up to 5 days of requested time off.
• Ability to work night shifts consistently.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Telemetry experience highly preferred.
• Experience with IV therapy and phlebotomy procedures, including PICC line management.
• Cerner EHR experience.
• Prior travel or float nurse experience is a plus.
