Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Days shift, 40 hours per week, with call responsibilities (12-15 days per month, including every other weekend)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with care of patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab
- Prepare and operate imaging and hemodynamic equipment such as Toshiba/Canon imaging systems and Merge hemodynamics systems
- Support the multidisciplinary team during procedures, including invasive and scrub cases
- Ensure accurate documentation within computerized systems
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, radiologists, and patients to facilitate smooth procedure flow and patient care
- Help manage Cath Lab traffic and assist in case coordination in the absence of supervisory staff
Required Qualifications
- Radiology Technologist or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist in the State of Delaware, or eligible for licensure
- Current ACLS certification
- Ability to read and communicate fluently in English
- Knowledge of catheter equipment and analytical methods used in the Cath Lab
- Ability to perform new procedures as directed by medical staff
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience assisting with 3-4 cases/procedures daily in a Cath Lab setting
- Previous experience supporting interventional cardiology procedures
- Familiarity with computerized documentation systems and medical equipment operation
