Registered Nurse IR/Special Procedures

Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures

• Evanston, IL

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, shifts between 8-hour and 10-hour days, on call as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in Interventional Radiology and Neuro procedures
• Manage neuro and IR body cases, ensuring high-quality patient care
• Respond to on-call demands with rapid callback times (30-45 minutes)
• Complete pre-shift assessments, including passing an EKG test on the first day
• Document patient interactions and procedures accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth patient flow

Required Qualifications

• Illinois nursing license (IL Lic)
• CPR and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in IR or Neuro settings
• Travel experience in similar clinical environments
• Valid EKG interpretation with at least 80% score on the initial test
• Proven Neuro procedure experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with neuro procedures and interventional radiology
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills

Additional Notes

• No weekend shifts unless on call, with one weekend per scheduled month (Friday–Sunday)

• Submittal packet includes updated resume, recent supervisor reference, skills checklist, IL lic verification, and details on neuro experience
• Orientation begins Monday, with requirements to pass an EKG test on day one
