- Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to obstetric patients in the Labor and Delivery unit
- Monitor fetal well-being using fetal monitors and perform sterile vaginal exams
- Assist with procedures such as FSE/IUPC placement and Cesarean sections
- Manage medications and therapies including Magnesium Sulfate and Oxytocin
- Support patient recovery and neonatal care in postpartum and neonatal unit settings
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery (LDU) nursing experience (post-orientation)
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP (from AAP), and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications
- Experience with Magnesium Sulfate drip management and Oxytocin protocols
- Ability to manage Insulin drips on an as-needed basis
- Valid Texas RN license or appropriate state's licensure
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Transition Care Nursing of Neonates (TCN) experience is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with OB bedside ultrasound, Dopplers, fetal monitors, and sterile vaginal procedures
