• Full-time, night shifts (3x12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
• Perform MRI scans on a diverse patient population, including infants to geriatrics, following established protocols and safety conditions.
• Operate GE Architect 3T, GE Artist 1.5T, and Siemens Sola 1.5T MRI scanners, ensuring compliance with imaging requirements for various implants and devices.
• Conduct imaging procedures for patients with conditional implants such as pacemakers and ICDs, adhering to specific safety guidelines (SAR, B1+ RMS).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in an acute care setting, including anesthesia, pediatric sedation, and ICU patients.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Be flexible to float among multiple campuses and provide backup support when needed, including participation in holiday rotations and on-call shifts.
Required Qualifications
• ARRT or ARMRIT registration in MRI.
• Minimum of 2 years MRI technologist experience.
• Experience with GE and Siemens MRI systems.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Strong knowledge of imaging for patients with pacemakers, ICDs, stimulators, and other conditional implants.
• Ability to manipulate MRI parameters to meet scanning conditions.
• Valid state license in North Carolina.
• Education verified through a third-party provider.
• Successful completion of required compliance documentation by specified deadlines.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience working in an acute care, multi-scanner environment.
• Familiarity with pediatric and neonatal MRI procedures.
• Experience with anesthesia and sedation protocols during MRI scans.
• Knowledge of MRI safety standards and emergency protocols in an ICU setting.
