Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, 12-hour shifts, multiple shifts available, 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities
• Provide independent nursing care in the Emergency Department, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Manage the care of patients with clinic-type conditions, strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy issues, pediatrics, and behavioral health.
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and nursing care provided.
• Assess learning needs of patients and families, providing education and support accordingly.
• Demonstrate leadership in self, others, or teams, and contribute to a high standard of patient care.

Required Qualifications
• Current RN license in New Mexico or compact state.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• PALS certification (American Heart Association).
• TNCC certification (trauma nursing certification).
• Minimum of 1 year recent ER experience, particularly in trauma I, II, or III settings.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience handling a broad spectrum of ED acuity, including emergent and complex cases.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
