Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, managing a patient load with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4
• Administer treatments and monitor patients with diagnoses such as COPD, pneumonia, respiratory failure, CHF, GI disorders, cardiac issues, ventilator dependency, ETOH withdrawal, and kidney disease
• Utilize Cerner charting system to accurately document patient status and care provided
• Support float assignments across various areas within acuity as needed
• Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver quality patient care with a focus on safety and compliance

Required Qualifications

• Valid DE or Compact RN license in hand with license number and expiration date
• Current certifications with expiration dates (e.g., BLS, ACLS as required)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital ICU, PCU, or Stepdown setting
• Ability to start on 11/03/2025 and work 12-hour night shifts (36 hours/week)
• Must be able to work holiday shifts, with only one RTO holiday request allowed (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with procedures such as endobronchial valve replacement, chest tubes, feeding tubes, chronic tracheostomy, and vents
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system and working in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong clinical judgment in managing complex respiratory and cardiac conditions
