Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time (13-week contract)
• Night shifts, 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15)
• 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic patient care, including post-surgical and spine cases.
• Manage pain control and monitor telemetry and IV sites.
• Adhere to fast-paced workflow in a busy unit with a patient census of approximately 37.
• Float within the hospital to meet staffing needs, covering various Med-Surg units as required.
• Maintain compliance with mandatory testing prior to start, including EKG.
• Follow unit protocols for patient safety and documentation, utilizing Epic EMR system.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent orthopedic nursing experience.
• Valid RN license in North Carolina or a valid compact license.
• Certifications: BCLS, NIHSS, CPR.
• Experience with IV starts and telemetry required.
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Additional certifications: ACLS.
• Charge nurse experience.
• Level I trauma unit experience.

• No holiday RTO permitted; up to 7 days of RTO approved if not on a holiday.
• Travel compliance required; candidate must complete testing within 48 hours of signing.
• Candidates must be comfortable floating to other units based on census.
